The total project cost amounts to $3.2 million, with the Fund providing $1 million in financing. The initiative aims to establish modern carpet manufacturing in Kyrgyzstan, which currently relies entirely on imported flooring.
According to the ministry, the project will "create new jobs," "partially replace imports," and "strengthen the country's industrial potential." The plant's output is intended not only for the domestic market but also for export to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and other regional markets.
Officials emphasised that this development aligns with ongoing efforts to diversify Kyrgyzstan's industrial base and reduce dependence on foreign goods, marking a key milestone in the nation's manufacturing sector.
