Founded in Dorset in 2010 by Paul de Zwart, Another Country is celebrated for its honest, well-crafted contemporary wooden furniture and accessories, reinterpreting classic British furniture typologies for modern interiors. "We're incredibly proud to bring Goldfinger into the Another Country family. We've long admired their commitment to craftsmanship, community and sustainability, values that mirror our own. By joining forces, we're combining two like-minded British businesses with a shared ethos, strengthening our ability to create design that is not only beautiful and enduring but also makes a genuine, positive impact," said de Zwart.
Goldfinger, established in 2013 by Marie Cudennec Carlisle, is recognised for bespoke commissions, tree-cycling initiatives, and its community-focused Future Makers programme. "I'm delighted that Goldfinger has joined forces with Another Country, a fellow B Corp and acclaimed British furniture maker whose values of timeless craftsmanship and sustainability align so well with our own… I couldn't imagine a better steward for Goldfinger's future," said Carlisle, now a Non-Executive Director.
The partnership expands Another Country's in-house capabilities, offering bespoke commissions, customisable furniture collections, and responsible manufacturing across workshops in the UK and Portugal. Goldfinger's award-winning apprenticeship and mentoring programme will continue to flourish, offering young people hands-on skills in sustainable design and furniture making.
Together, the brands share a core belief that good design can do good. This collaboration aims to set a new standard for British manufacturing, combining material expertise, sustainability, craft, and social responsibility. Another Country's unified design business will provide enduring, sustainable products, designed to be cherished for generations.
