A Danish modular home builder has recorded deficits every year since its founding in 2017. Despite this, the CEO, now also a co-owner, is optimistic about achieving the company's first profitable year in 2026.

The executive has injected personal funds to reduce third-party debt while overseeing a major structural overhaul. This includes relocating operations from Vissenbjerg to Kolding and selling the former production facility.
Domu ApS is shifting from in-house production to an order-based model, outsourcing both construction and manufacturing to subcontractors. CEO Jesper Dahl Blicher describes the strategy as creating "a sensible future for the company," with a focus on profitable, sustainable agreements before launching new orders, expected in 2026.
He stresses that the company can operate without immediate revenue due to reduced overheads and reinforced ownership support. Blicher emphasises a "very big responsibility" for ensuring Domu's recovery and urges customers and partners to assess the results in the 2026 financial statements.
