Antrax IT’s Lana Radiator by AMDL CIRCLE selected for the ADI Design Index

The Lana radiator by Antrax IT, designed by AMDL CIRCLE, the studio led by Michele De Lucchi, has been officially selected for inclusion in the ADI Design Index 2025, marking it as a contender for the next Compasso d'Oro Award. Already the recipient of the Archiproducts Design Award and the Archello Award, Lana continues to gain international recognition for its innovative balance of aesthetics, technology and sustainability.

Breaking away from traditional heating design, Lana introduces a modular and versatile system that combines decorative identity with technical performance. The radiator is composed of a single square tile, made of 100% recyclable aluminium with rounded corners, a convex profile and pleated detailing. This base module can be replicated in various configurations, horizontally or vertically, in compositions of three to twelve elements, offering exceptional design flexibility for both residential and contract environments.

The radiator's three-dimensional surface evokes the softness of textile yarns, while its geometric, chessboard-like arrangement creates a dynamic interplay with light, giving the piece "a sculptural quality." This attention to form and materiality reflects De Lucchi's ongoing exploration of tactile and emotional design.

"The plissé motif, an element dear to Michele De Lucchi and his studio, merges with an extremely textured finish: on one side, the imperfect surface resulting from shell casting; on the other, the tactile embossed paint finish, which allows for customisation of the radiator," explains Alberico Crosetta, CEO of Antrax IT. He adds, "Lana embossed texture is not merely an aesthetic feature, but a detail that enhances radiant efficiency, enabling the radiator to achieve high thermal performance."

Available with an optional towel rail, Lana merges design, art and technology, offering not only visual appeal but also everyday practicality, particularly suited for bathrooms and modern living spaces.

"The journey of Antrax IT, our design research and our passion for transforming functional tools into pieces of furniture, are today once again recognised with this prestigious selection. Lana is an extraordinary product of industrial design, born from the idea of creating a radiator with no single, fixed version," concludes Crosetta.

Through Lana, Antrax IT redefines the radiator as an expressive design object, sustainable, adaptable and deeply architectural, cementing its position as a leader in the evolution of functional design within contemporary interiors.
