The 56th China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) successfully concluded on 12 September 2025 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Hongqiao, reaffirming its position as one of Asia's most influential platforms for design, innovation, and business in the global furniture industry.

Covering 300,000 square metres, CIFF Shanghai 2025 hosted over 1,500 brands from China and abroad, attracting 92,709 professional visitors, including 11,873 international attendees, a 13.23% increase compared to last year. This growth confirms CIFF's expanding appeal as a key destination for global buyers, designers, and manufacturers.
Design Crossing Boundaries: A Premier Showcase
Under the theme "Design Crossing Boundaries," CIFF Shanghai 2025 presented six concurrent exhibitions, offering a comprehensive view of innovation across all sectors:

The fair spanned eight product categories, from upholstered and office furniture to home décor, outdoor design, and production machinery.
Among the highlights was the debut of the New Retail Pavilion, which showcased an integrated ecosystem of the entire furniture supply chain. More than 1,000 new products were unveiled—90% of them world premieres—demonstrating the fair's influence as a launch platform for cutting-edge collections and material innovations.
Fifteen emerging design studios joined established brands to create a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere, redefining contemporary living aesthetics through the fusion of functionality, beauty, and sustainability.
Connecting Global Markets
CIFF Shanghai 2025 strengthened its position as a strategic business catalyst, fostering meaningful partnerships between distributors, designers, and manufacturers. Major brands including HC28 Maison, Camerich, Coomo, Carbine, and Kuka Home showcased international collaborations and new global design strategies.
Targeted matchmaking sessions facilitated connections between overseas buyers and exhibitors across key segments such as living, dining, and office furniture—reinforcing CIFF Shanghai's status as a launchpad for Chinese brands entering international markets.
Culture, Design, and Dialogue
CIFF Shanghai also hosted nearly 40 curated forums and exhibitions, exploring the intersection of design, manufacturing, and new business models.
Highlights included:
- Design Eden: The Italian Lounge, East Design Show, Hotline Designers Joint Show, and Design Gravity.
- Design Industry: The Grand Tea Gala, China Sleep Industry Summit, and Jintang Prize Showcase.
- Office Space: Shanghai Office Space Pavilion and the Fashion Office Carnival.
A key moment was the launch of the Golden Creation Award, honouring benchmark products that define design excellence and innovation in China's intelligent manufacturing industry. The 16th Jintang Prize global ceremony also took place at the fair, uniting judges, emerging designers, and thought leaders under the theme "Passion Breeds Excellence."
Looking Ahead
Since relocating to Shanghai Hongqiao in 2015, CIFF's autumn edition has become an essential driver of the internationalisation of Chinese design and a vital meeting point for the global furniture community.
