Jarosław Michniuk, Vice-Chairman of PAGED Plywood, welcomed the decision, noting that it strengthens protection for European businesses and jobs against unfair trade practices. The Greenwood Consortium, which supported the move, highlighted ongoing efforts by some importers to circumvent the duties through misclassification of products.
The new measures, enforced under the TARIC customs tariff code, are intended to maintain a level playing field for the European plywood industry while ensuring the effectiveness of anti-dumping policies. The consortium has pledged to actively monitor and counteract attempts to bypass the sanctions.
The decision marks a major step in regulating imports and safeguarding the European plywood market from unfair competition.
