Maria Porro, President of Salone del Mobile.Milano, and Dr. Sumayah Al-Solaiman, CEO of the Architecture and Design Commission at the Saudi Ministry of Culture, jointly announced the event, which will transform the city's financial hub into a design and business meeting point, connecting Italian excellence with the Saudi design ecosystem.
Under the red banner of the Salone, the KAFD public spaces will showcase furniture, lighting, surfaces, and accessories from more than 35 Italian companies, selected for their quality, innovation, and sustainability. Complementing the exhibition, an international cultural programme will feature discussions and presentations bringing together voices from both Italy and Saudi Arabia. A dedicated business lounge will host meetings with key Saudi decision-makers, emphasising professional and strategic networking.
The event provides a preview of the larger Salone programme planned for 2026 in Riyadh, offering both shared cultural content and professional platforms while establishing long-term collaboration between Italian design brands and the Kingdom.
"Red in progress. Salone del Mobile.Milano meets Riyadh" reflects the Salone's commitment to international expansion and cross-cultural dialogue, extending its tradition of design excellence to new audiences while highlighting sustainability and innovation in contemporary furniture and interior design.
