"Soft Fold doesn't mark a beginning or an end. It's simply a step along the way, a personal attempt to outline a typological thread connecting the chairs on display, without aiming to be exhaustive and knowing that each one keeps its own uniqueness. Over the years, my goal hasn't been to rank them, set a timeline, or create any hierarchy, but rather to appreciate their individual traits and explore the codes of beauty in objects designed to be efficient," explains Davide Biancucci, the creative voice behind the project.
The exhibition does not seek to impose order or hierarchy; instead, it celebrates each chair as a unique artefact, offering insights into the enduring principles of design. By focusing on efficiency and aesthetic expression, Soft Fold underscores Campeggi's commitment to combining practical functionality with a sophisticated design language.
Campeggi's Soft Fold invites viewers and design professionals to reflect on the evolution of seating, bridging typology and artistry. It provides a platform for engaging with the nuances of design, encouraging a closer look at the details that distinguish one object from another while recognising their shared lineage.
The exhibition and its accompanying press kit offer a comprehensive overview of the collection, highlighting the brand's research into chair typologies and the aesthetics of efficient design. Soft Fold positions Campeggi at the intersection of innovation and tradition, where functionality meets visual poetry.
Soft Fold has already attracted attention for its thoughtful curation and conceptual depth, reaffirming Campeggi's reputation as a leader in contemporary furniture design. As the brand continues to explore new interpretations of seating, the exhibition serves as both a milestone and an ongoing journey in understanding the essence of well-crafted objects.
