Redefining mineral surfaces for kitchens and bathrooms

Cosentino launches Éclos with Inlayr technology

Global surface innovator Cosentino has unveiled Éclos, a new brand of mineral surfaces that introduces an entirely new category: Inlayered Mineral Surfaces powered by Inlayr technology. The launch marks a milestone in the industry, combining advanced design, sustainability, and high performance for kitchen and bathroom applications.

Éclos® surfaces are free of crystalline silica and incorporate over 50% recycled materials, with some colours reaching almost 90% recycled content. The first collection, set for global release in the coming months, combines superior flexibility, impact resistance, and heat resistance up to 220°C (428°F), making it suitable for high-performance surfaces.

"Since our founding, we have been committed to leading innovation rather than following trends. Just as we did with Silestone®, Dekton®, and most recently with Hybriq+® technology for Silestone®. Éclos® involves a new turning point for our industry, an evolution that responds to real market needs and anticipates the future," said Pilar Cosentino, Cosentino Group CEO.

Éclos®'s Inlayr® technology enables a layered design system that produces 3D integrated aesthetics with realistic veins and textures, extending to edges and delivering unprecedented depth, consistency, and natural feel. The development involved more than 28,000 hours of research and over 1,500 hours of testing by Cosentino's R&D and Product teams.

The innovation also reflects Cosentino's commitment to circular economy principles and fabricator safety, while positioning Éclos® alongside its established brands: Silestone®, Dekton®, and Sensa by Cosentino®. Analysts forecast continued growth in the global countertop market, with mineral and porcelain surfaces expected to expand significantly, particularly in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and developing markets.

Cosentino, headquartered in Almería, Spain, distributes products in over 120 countries, operating nine factories and more than 180 commercial and business units worldwide.
