RH expands in Manhasset as tariffs weigh on revenue growth

Luxury furniture retailer RH is strengthening its presence on Long Island with the opening of a new 19,410-square-foot gallery in Manhasset's Americana shopping centre. The three-level store, which opens Saturday following a VIP reception, will bring RH's total Long Island footprint to four locations.

The expansion is part of RH's broader strategy to double its international scale within the next five to seven years. In 2025 alone, the company has opened an RH Outlet in Commack and an RH Outdoor store in East Hampton, while its original East Hampton gallery continues to operate.

Despite sales gains of 8% to 12% over the past four quarters, RH has not been immune to tariff pressures. The retailer reported second-quarter revenue growth of 8.4% to $899.2 million, below its initial projection of 14%, citing tariffs and supply chain disruptions. Annual revenue guidance has been revised down by $50 million to $3.5 billion.

To mitigate tariff risks, RH has reduced sourcing from China and India while expanding upholstered furniture production at its North Carolina facility. The company is also pursuing European growth, with new galleries in Paris, London and Milan.
