The announcement underlines the global and prestigious nature of the awards, which recognise excellence across design, innovation, and sustainability in architecture. Entries are open until 20 November 2025, offering architects and designers the opportunity to present their work to a highly influential audience.
The newly announced judges have shared insights to guide entrants in crafting competitive submissions:
- Robbie Kerr, Director, ADAM Architecture, advises: "Make that first sentence catch the attention and take a step back from the detail to really think about what matters."
- Hakim Khennouchi, Design Director, HKA (HK Architecture Ltd), highlights clarity over quantity: "Be selective, not exhaustive. A well composed, clear and authentic entry carries more weight than a visually crowded one."
- Peter Bordas, CEO and Founder, BORD Architectural Studio, emphasises uniqueness and context: "Clearly communicate what makes your project unique and unrepeatable. Present the concept concisely and explain how it delivers a strong and thoughtful response to a specific challenge or context."
The WAN Global Awards provide a platform for architects to gain international recognition, showcase creativity, and connect with peers, critics, and industry experts.
Entries can be submitted online, with the full panel of judges and additional guidance available via the WAN website.
