One of the UK's leading sofa manufacturers, has ceased operations, leaving over 100 employees unemployed. The company, in business for more than 30 years, entered administration after failing to secure a buyer. Its products were stocked across the country, including at Michael O'Connor Furniture, Sofalistic, and Haskins Furniture.

The closure of Ashley Manor, along with British-designed import business Alexander & James Sofas, was announced by parent company TCM Living Group. Opus Restructuring & Insolvency has been appointed administrator for both firms, which stopped trading on September 15, 2025.
Inflation in raw materials, international shipping disruptions, labour cost increases, and falling consumer demand amid the cost-of-living crisis contributed to the collapse. Andy Kennaugh, CEO of TCM Living Group, described the decision as "extremely difficult," highlighting that all options to preserve the businesses had been exhausted.
Colin Wilson of Opus noted the challenging economic climate for the furniture sector and its impact on discretionary spending. Affected employees will receive support via ERA Solutions and the government's Redundancy Payments Service, while customers and suppliers have been advised to contact the administrators for guidance.
Ashley Manor's closure marks the end of a significant chapter in the UK upholstered furniture market.
