Queen Máxima opens 25th Dutch Design Week

Possible, DDW this year celebrates a quarter-century of shaping the future. DDW does this by reflecting on its legacy, showcasing today's creative energy and exploring what design can be in the future. DDW presents work and concepts by two thousand designers to 350,000 visitors at around a hundred locations across the city. There are exhibitions, lectures, debates, network meetings and presentations.

During the festive opening in Domus Dela, Queen Máxima will talk to Miriam van der Lubbe, creative head of DDW, about the value of Dutch design for innovation, sustainability, connection and social impact. Afterwards, Queen Máxima will open the 25th edition of Dutch Design Week.

Prior to the Grand Opening, Queen Máxima will visit the exhibition Bridging Minds, 100x Design for Change in the Van Abbemuseum. Through a selection of one hundred works by young and established designers and artists, guest curator Miriam van der Lubbe will show how design can connect and contribute to solutions for social issues.
