Lifestyle brand Moooi has unveiled its first-ever ceramic surfaces collection, The Nesting Room, at Cersaie 2025 in Bologna. Developed in collaboration with Italian ceramics innovator ABK, the collection transforms natural inspiration and animal muses into tactile architectural surfaces designed to create sanctuaries of stillness.

The Nesting Room follows Moooi's ethos of balancing dreams with nature. Drawing on organic forms and even extinct species, the collection features three motifs, Hypnotic Owl, Reiki Rhea and Cloistered Dove. Each pattern embodies quiet elemental forces, bringing a sense of peace and continuity into residential and hospitality interiors alike.

The collection is available in four versatile sizes, 120x280, 120x120, 60x120, and 60x60, enabling designers to mix and combine surfaces across rooms. Neutral bases with refined textures provide a calm foundation, while decorative patterns introduce narrative and surprise. Large 120x280 slabs feature the motifs in full detail, offering striking focal points for lobbies, living spaces, or spa environments.
At Cersaie, Moooi and ABK present The Nesting Room in an exclusive installation designed as a sequence of three spaces dedicated to wellness, meditation, and warmth. Enhanced by Moooi's lighting and furniture, including the iconic Egg Vase by Wanders, the installation offers visitors a multisensory retreat in the midst of the trade fair.
ABK Group, founded in 1992, is known for pushing ceramic innovation, from 3D surfaces to sustainable full-body porcelain techniques. Moooi, established in 2001, continues to merge physical and digital design, creating conversation pieces that transform interiors into extraordinary experiences.
