European interior marketplace Whoppah has announced it has reached "profitable growth" after six years of operation. Founded by Thomas Bunnik and Evelien Bunnik-Remmelts, the company has grown into what it describes as Europe's largest second-hand interior marketplace.

The journey has involved multiple stages, starting with rapid expansion, followed by significant investment in technology and later a focus on turning those advancements into long-term efficiencies. According to Bunnik, each stage required "new skills, new decisions, and at times, tough trade-offs".
Whoppah credits its success to a combination of automation, sharper operational effectiveness and a clear balance between purpose and profitability. The firm emphasised that profitable growth is not just a financial achievement but also evidence that "efficiency can be as powerful as expansion" and that technology, when applied effectively, enhances sustainability and competitiveness.
Bunnik expressed gratitude to the company's team, customers, partners and investors who supported the business before profitability was assured. He added that with profitability as a foundation, Whoppah is positioned to accelerate further growth and pursue new opportunities across Europe's interior market.
