Jakub Jankowski will become Inter IKEA Group's new CEO from 1 January 2026. He succeeds Jon Abrahamsson Ring, who is handing over after 20 years at IKEA, including CEO of Inter IKEA Group since 2020. Jankowski is currently Managing Director of IKEA Industry.

Jon Abrahamsson Ring started his career at IKEA in Örebro and held executive positions in Canada, China, the Netherlands and Sweden, among others. He also worked as an assistant to founder Ingvar Kamprad. During his leadership, IKEA has become more accessible, sustainable and affordable.
Anders Dahlvig, chairman of Inter IKEA Holding B.V., thanked Abrahamsson Ring for his contribution: "Jon has successfully led the company through a period of global disruptions and transformation. His commitment to the IKEA vision and values is admirable." Abrahamsson Ring himself says: "I am proud of what we have achieved together. Now is the time to hand over the baton and recognise the commitment of our more than 200,000 colleagues, franchise partners and suppliers."
Jakub Jankowski started at IKEA in Poland in 2001 and held various leadership positions in Romania, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Sweden, among others. Highlighting his value-oriented approach, he says: "I feel honoured and look forward to building on the solid foundation Jon leaves behind. Together with all links in the value chain, I want to further develop IKEA as a leader in 'life at home', affordable, accessible and sustainable." Dahlvig calls Jankowski an experienced and value-driven leader with deep knowledge of the value chain: "I am delighted that he is accepting this role."
