Methodological Notes:
For the reporting month of July 2025, an update of calendar and seasonal factors was carried out, resulting in higher revisions of the calendar- and seasonally-adjusted time series.

In all reports on economic indicators, the different comparison periods should be considered. The focus of economic observation is on the comparison of calendar- and seasonally-adjusted values with the previous month/quarter. This shows the short-term economic development. The calendar-adjusted year-on-year comparison serves a longer-term level comparison and is independent of seasonal fluctuations and calendar effects.

Due to the methodology of calendar and seasonal adjustment, all time series are currently adjusted separately. Therefore, the rates of change of aggregates may differ from those of subcategories.

The results of the hospitality statistics may differ particularly in the summer months from those of the tourism statistics, as, for example, turnover in accommodation businesses does not always coincide temporally with overnight stays. Methodological differences also lead to deviations in results.
