In-store homeware sales climbed 13.80%, marking the eighth consecutive week of growth, while non-store sales rose 8.80%, although they did not fully offset last year's negative base of -11.79%. Overall, total store LFL sales increased by 5.14%, and non-store sales jumped 9.88% from a strong prior-year base.
BDO noted that sales growth was seen across all segments and channels, with both total in-store and non-store sales positive for six straight weeks. Early autumn weather, featuring a mix of rain and sunshine, contributed to footfall growth, which rose 1.0% year-on-year. Shopping centres saw a 1.4% increase, retail parks 1.0%, and high streets 0.8%, reflecting sustained consumer demand for homeware products.
