The Austrian furniture chain Mömax, part of the XXXLutz Group, will open a new store in Aschersleben, Saxony-Anhalt, on 17 September, marking its 52nd branch in Germany. The 3,500-square-metre, two-floor location occupies the former Roller furniture store and was converted in just two and a half months.

The store features a fully digitised, energy-efficient design, including LED lighting, a modern facade, 45 large monitors, digital pricing, self-checkouts, iPads, C-Watches, and cleaning robots. Thomas Saliger, spokesperson for the XXXLutz Group, highlighted that the store is tailored to contemporary lifestyles, offering a diverse range of affordable home decor ideas across more than 100 units.
Mömax plans a celebratory opening with activities and a special appearance by American choreographer and entertainer Bruce Darnell. The chain has been expanding steadily across Germany and Austria, with previous openings in cities including Vösendorf, Vienna, Schleswig, Linz, and Switzerland's Meyrin region, reinforcing its presence in both urban and regional markets.
