The Zumtobel Group has started the 2025/26 financial year with a decline in revenue and earnings. Total sales for Q1 fell 7.8% to €266.4 million (Q1 2024/25: €289.1 million), with currency-adjusted decline at 7.7%. The Components Segment dropped 11.8% to €70.9 million, while the Lighting Segment decreased 7.0% to €210.7 million.

Operating profit also fell sharply, with adjusted group EBIT at €6.6 million, down from €20.2 million the previous year, resulting in an adjusted EBIT margin of 2.5% (Q1 2024/25: 7.0%). The company reported a negative net result of €4.0 million, partly due to special effects from a U.S. plant closure.
Regionally, revenue remained stable in D/A/CH, but declined in Northern and Western Europe, particularly the UK, as well as in Southern and Eastern Europe. Sales in Asia-Pacific and the Americas & MEA regions were also below prior-year levels.
In response, Zumtobel has launched a global efficiency programme to improve decision-making, clarify responsibilities, strengthen innovation, and reduce costs. Annual savings in sales and administration are expected to reach €30–40 million by 2028/29.
The company expects a single-digit percentage revenue decline for 2025/26 and an adjusted EBIT margin between 1% and 4%, citing ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainty.
