The acquisition also allows Kirkland's Home to enter the wholesale market, extending its nearly 60-year legacy in seasonal home décor and furnishings to independent retailers nationwide, creating a new revenue stream. Bed Bath & Beyond will continue to receive its existing collaboration fee, now including revenue from the wholesale channel.
Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman of Bed Bath & Beyond, said the early success of store conversions reinforces confidence in the strategy and the nationwide rollout. Kirkland's Home's design and product development will expand through both Bed Bath & Beyond stores and wholesale operations, with Amy Sullivan and her team overseeing the growth.
The acquisition reflects Bed Bath & Beyond's broader strategy to grow its national footprint, enhance brand offerings, and leverage the legacy and appeal of Kirkland's Home in both retail and wholesale markets.
