Since entering the Portuguese market in 2016, Jysk now has 33 stores and employs around 300 people. According to Carlos Haba, Managing Director of Jysk in Portugal and Spain, the plans are ambitious: "We hope to open around eight stores a year over the next three years, with an annual investment of approximately four million euros."

Since 2016, Jysk has invested almost €20 million in Portugal, according to the company, including €16.5 million in new stores and €3 million in the renovation of nine existing locations.

The 2023-2024 fiscal year showed strong results: revenue reached a record €44.9 million, a 27.2% increase compared to the previous year. Operating profit (EBIT) grew by 150.9% to €2.3 million, further strengthening the brand's position in the Portuguese market, according to Haba.
