Italian brand Abitzai, which embodies the essence of Made in Italy and the Mediterranean spirit, is previewing two new collections at Cersaie 2025 (Hall 25, Stand B135): Mimesis by designer Celestino Sanna and Reta by Studio Mamo.

Mimesis, part of the Origini collection, draws inspiration from mimicry in nature, where organisms blend into their surroundings for protection or predation. "The graphic lines of Mimesis refer to the reticular structures created by small marine organisms, such as corals, algae, and calcareous sponges," explains Celestino Sanna. "Each tile becomes a true mathematical model, designed to allow designers to create unique, personalised, and visually harmonious compositions."
Produced in 60x120 cm format and available in seven shades, Pearl, Cinnamon, Celadon, Ash, Fossil, Sand, and Terracotta, Mimesis celebrates natural beauty while providing designers with a versatile tool for creating distinctive, harmonious environments.
Reta, designed by Andrea Mamo and Lorena D'Ilio of Studio Mamo, explores the Mediterranean as a network of cultures, ideas, and people. "We imagined the Mediterranean territory through a thin thread that unites and marks places, cultures, ideas, and people," say the designers. The collection's evocative 20x20 cm tiles, in Cinnamon/Burgundy and Pearl/Celadon, combine subtle details and visual narratives using locally sourced materials and unconventional colour combinations.
Abitzai's Cersaie exhibition, designed by Studio Mamo, is conceived as a sensory journey into Sardinia's authentic heart, where raw materials and essential forms coexist with contemporary design. The space features furnishings from Plinio il Giovane, including the Day Bed sofa and Eclettica armchair bed, upholstered in Ruffo fabric from DinoZoli Textile's REspect collection, which uses regenerated yarns enriched with wool filaments.
Founded in 2021, Abitzai creates collections that balance tradition and innovation, using bright colours, sinuous lines, and insular geometries inspired by Sardinia and the Mediterranean. The brand's surfaces tell stories of history, art, nature, and mystery, offering designers and clients products rooted in territory yet designed for contemporary interiors.
