Tigin grows by focusing exclusively on European retailers and wholesalers

''We started as industrial designers, and end up with 20,000 square metres of facilities''

In today's highly competitive interior market, where efficiency and design quality are essential, Tigin from Turkey is making a strong impression among European buyers. Co-owned by industrial designers Hamit Ebes and İsa Candemir, the company stands out through its fully integrated production facilities and a unique commitment to flexibility.

''We started as designers.'' explained Hamit. ''After graduation, we established our own factory and began with panel furniture. Over the years, we expanded into metal production and upholstery. Today we manufacture everything in our own facilities, without outsourcing.''

Full-service manufacturer for Europe
Based in the Kayseri city, widely recognised as the furniture capital of Turkey, Tigin produces exclusively for export markets. ''We don't have any sales in the local market,'' said Hamit. ''Our main customers are large-scale retailers and wholesalers in Europe and Eastern Europe.''

Dining tables, particularly extension tables, together with chairs form the core of the company's portfolio. Yet, Tigin's business model is not limited to products alone. ''We are very strong and precised in production.'' noted Hamit. ''That gives us the ability to respond quickly to our partners' needs. For many of our clients, we provide private label production, while others sell under our own brand. Both are equally important for us.''

Flexibility
What sets Tigin apart is the company's flexibility in production. ''Some manufacturers produce only chairs or only tables, outsourcing the rest. We do everything ourselves. This means our partners can combine chairs and tables in the same container, choose from a wide range of colours and finishes, and still receive fast delivery.'' Hamit emphasised.

This versatility extends to order volumes as well. ''Our minimum quantities are smaller compared to competitors in China or Poland. Because we control the full production process in our 20,000 square metres of facilities, we can adjust quickly. This flexibility is our greatest strength.''

M.O.W. 2025 matters
Tigin is once again presenting its collection at the M.O.W. Fair in Germany, a trade event that Hamit describes as uniquely aligned with their business goals. ''We have attended exhibitions around the world, in Shanghai, Cologne, and Poland. But M.O.W. is very different. The visitor profile is focused on large-scale retailers and wholesalers, which matches perfectly with our capabilities. That is why it is so meaningful for us.''

At this year's fair, Tigin is unveiling new designs with fresh materials and colours. ''We like to innovate,'' said Hamit. ''As designers and manufacturers, we enjoy working with new materials and developing unique solutions. Visitors will see new extension tables and products for the Horeca sector, such as restaurant and bar tables and chairs.''

By expanding into Horeca, Tigin is broadening its reach beyond homes to professional spaces. ''Our background is mainly indoor dining, but now we are adding products for restaurants and bars. This is an exciting direction for us.'' added Hamit.
