Once purely utilitarian, the kitchen has become a social hub — and at its center stands the snack top. For Rastelli's R1 collection, designed by Ulisse Narcisi, this multifunctional element bridges cooking and living space, embodying the "happy island" concept.

Originally conceived as an alternative to the dining table, the snack top now hosts everything from quick breakfasts to late-night apéritifs. At 90 cm high, it pairs naturally with stools, encouraging casual gatherings while doubling as a work surface, homework desk, or spot to unwind with a laptop.
In R1, the snack top is fully integrated within the kitchen system and can be tailored through a wide palette of materials and finishes. Options range from a round brushed elm counter with a porcelain insert to a rectangular oak version supported by a bold Corinto Nero leg. Contrasts of wood, porcelain, and Fenix accents create a dialogue between natural warmth and contemporary geometry.
The result: a versatile centrepiece that adapts to daily rituals while enhancing spatial flow between kitchen and living. For Rastelli, the snack top isn't just a surface, it's the stage where home life unfolds Rastelli R1 Collection | Snack top variations
