"Matter is beautiful because it is worn down and transformed, shaped by natural elements regardless of human will." — Michele De Lucchi
Illulian, the Milanese luxury rug atelier, presents Forme Erose, a new collection designed by AMDL Circle, the studio founded by Michele De Lucchi. The series translates the slow yet powerful work of sun, wind and water into textile form, where erosion becomes both design language and tactile poetry.

Nature as Designer
The collection's debut pieces — Geo I and Geo II — reimagine De Lucchi's Sassi e Montagne drawings and sculptures. Their organic silhouettes and layered markings, reminiscent of landscapes carved by time, are distilled into woven surfaces that retain a sculptural essence.
Art, Craft and Memory
More than decorative objects, the rugs are conceived as textile landscapes: eroded, shaped, and inscribed with geological memory. Illulian's master artisans translate the intricacy of natural textures into hand-knotted works that balance rawness with refinement, making each rug a functional artwork suited to both residential and public interiors.
A Poetic Reflection
With Forme Erose, AMDL Circle invites reflection on the dialogue between nature and design, art and function. Each rug embodies patience and transformation, suggesting that time itself is the ultimate designer.
