As part of the UK/Poland Creative Season 2025, acclaimed Polish architect, artist and designer Oskar Zieta presents two interconnected installations at the London Design Festival: the landmark public artwork Whispers in the Fleet Street Quarter, and its experimental counterpart Echoes of Whispers at New London Architecture (NLA).

Sculptures with a Voice
Zieta, founder of Zieta Studio, is internationally recognised for his pioneering FiDU technology, which uses internal air pressure to transform flat steel sheets into three-dimensional, lightweight structures. The results blur the boundaries between design, engineering, and art, testing the expressive potential of metal.
Situated on Ludgate Hill in the Fleet Street Quarter, Whispers is both sculpture and mirror, reflecting the area's transformation from a hub of print culture to one of innovation and commerce. Its dynamic surfaces echo the 2025 London Festival of Architecture theme, Voice, embodying dialogue between artist, audience, and environment.
Inside NLA, Echoes of Whispers explores the more intimate side of Zieta's practice. Each "echo" showcases how subtle shifts in pressure or placement can alter form, making visible the artist's belief that "metal has its own voice."
Cultural Collaboration
The installations are presented as part of the UK/Poland Season 2025, a year-long programme of over 100 cultural events across 40 cities. Organised with the Polish Cultural Institute in London, the Let's Art Foundation, On&On Design, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Season strengthens cultural dialogue and fosters creative exchange between the two countries.
Zieta's work has been exhibited internationally and is held in prestigious collections, including the Vitra Design Museum, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
