Hornbach has entered into an exclusive partnership with online paint brand MissPompadour, bringing the digital-first company into more than 150 Hornbach stores across Europe from January 2026. The rollout will cover all German branches as well as outlets in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.

The collaboration includes a new digital consulting concept designed to guide customers through painting projects. A touch-screen POS tool will combine digital and in-store advice, showing how to execute projects and which products to use. Shoppers will have access to 96 MissPompadour colour collections and 11 accessories, with many shades available in cans or mixed on site. Specially designed packaging and tailored in-store presentation formats will accompany the launch.
'We bring our consulting expertise to the DIY store floor – digital, inspiring, and easy to understand,' said co-founder Erik Reintjes. He added that Hornbach was the 'ideal partner' to help set a new benchmark for DIY paint advice.
MissPompadour is investing around €1m in the new retail division and building a dedicated team of ten employees as part of its long-term growth strategy.
