More than 230 brands across furniture, kitchens, architecture, lighting, interiors, wellness, and outdoor living will showcase innovations, affirming Medellín's growing status as a design capital for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Over 45 speakers, including Jairo Vives (Pininfarina of America), Eugeni Quitllet, Juan Montoya, Martin Jasper, Carmen Barasona, and Jorge Uribe (Foster + Partners), will address the transformative role of design in shaping healthier environments.

Design for well-being
This year's theme underscores how design impacts quality of life—through natural light, air quality, ergonomics, and biophilia. "Design is seen, inhabited, touched, and breathed," says Eddy Carmona, founder of La Feria De Diseño. "It is a tool for well-being."
Economic impact
Colombia's design industry plays a pivotal role in the creative economy, contributing 3% of national GDP between 2014 and 2022. Closely tied to manufacturing (10% of GDP), design is recognised as both a cultural force and a driver of productivity, innovation, and international competitiveness.
Global collaboration
Since 2021, Koelnmesse (organisers of imm cologne, ORGATEC, interzum, and others) has partnered with La Feria, bringing international expertise to amplify its reach. "This alliance positions Medellín as a reference point for design in Latin America and the Caribbean," says Christian Guarín, Managing Director, Koelnmesse LAC.
