In addition to the top award, Hammett's Bahamas Penthouse project won in the Residential £20 million+ (Market Value) category, underlining her reputation for luxury design at an international level.

"We are so honoured to have been named Designer of the Year 2025 by Design Et Al, as well as winning the 'Residential £20 million+ (Market Value)' award for our Bahamas Penthouse," said Laura Hammett. "This recognition means the world to both Aaron and me, and to our incredible team who pour so much passion, creativity and dedication into every project we undertake. To be acknowledged in this way is a moment of immense pride, gratitude, and reflection on 17 years of hard work building this studio and the standard of design excellence we strive for."

The award-winning Bahamas Penthouse reflects Hammett's signature design philosophy, combining London sophistication with the context of the Caribbean. Tasked with creating a luxurious yet family-friendly residence, she avoided overt tropical motifs in favour of a refined conceptual approach. Subtle materials and colour cues were used to evoke the Bahamian setting while maintaining a sense of London familiarity. The result is a home that balances comfort, cultural sensitivity and elegant restraint.

Hammett expressed her gratitude to Design Et Al and its judging team: "A heartfelt thank you to Design Et Al magazine and Joanne for this incredible honour and career highlight."

The awards recognise excellence in interior design, architecture and lifestyle, with Designer of the Year celebrating both individual projects and wider contributions to the industry.

Founded in 2008 by Laura and Aaron Hammett, the London studio has grown into a globally recognised practice with a portfolio spanning the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the US. Known for timeless, tailored interiors, the studio consistently integrates architectural integrity with bespoke craftsmanship.

With this double win, Laura Hammett strengthens her position as one of Europe's leading interior designers, setting a benchmark for luxury design that is both contemporary and enduring.
