Atelierzero unveils bespoke living: functional elegance for contemporary interiors

Italian design practice Atelierzero has presented a new series of bespoke furniture and interior solutions, crafted to respond to contemporary living with versatility, material richness, and refined detailing. Each piece reflects the studio's philosophy of combining functionality with tailored design, offering adaptable solutions for both compact and spacious environments.

Designed for compact living, the Tovi Living Unit consolidates wardrobe, storage, kitchen, and bed into a single structure. Its fully retractable bed, integrated beneath the kitchen floor, exemplifies the studio's focus on spatial efficiency and seamless transformation of interiors.

The Lipa Kitchen continues this dialogue with flexibility, conceived as a stand-alone element where the worktop can be completely hidden by a folding panel. Similarly, the Hernes Kitchen Island blends stone, metal, and lacquered wood, balancing structural lightness with bold material contrasts.

Bathrooms are reimagined as architectural statements. Highlights include the Lexi Washbasin Cabinet, where "the classicism of the natural stone top" is set against "the contemporaneity of the cocky-coloured ribbed wooden doors," and the Amina Washbasin Cabinet & Mirror Cabinet, defined by circular forms, marble detailing, and integrated lighting. The Mizio Washbasin Cabinet introduces playfulness, its silhouette "resembling a crane," while Nadia Washbasin unites "a minimal and rigorous silhouette" with the timeless appeal of natural stone.

Storage and furniture designs demonstrate Atelierzero's ability to merge minimalism with expressive detail. The Gima Storage Unit contrasts raw MDF surfaces with clean lines, while the Emme Headboard maximises utility with concealed compartments and shelving for smaller bedrooms. The Giulia Vanity Table, originally designed for Milan's Arcimboldi Theatre, maintains theatrical references through its dialogue of lacquered wood, marble, and mirror.

Atelierzero also explores surface design through the Puzzled Cement Tiles, developed for Mosaic Factory. Inspired by vector hatches, the pattern "resembles both a dash-dotted line and a befuddled emoji," underscoring the studio's playful yet precise approach.

From monolithic benches crafted with reclaimed materials (Misca) to suspended cabinets with integrated mirrors (Rino, Elle Uno, Elle Due), every piece reflects Atelierzero's ability to create site-specific, bespoke solutions. The result is a collection that balances elegance, efficiency, and creative instinct, offering European interiors a vocabulary of enduring, custom-made design.
