Abimis kitchens bridge Parisian elegance and New York opulence

Italian kitchen specialist Abimis, renowned for its professional-grade stainless steel kitchens for domestic spaces, has been selected by Canadian interior designer Martin Brûlé for two major international projects: his new Parisian headquarters and a 1,000 m² loft overlooking 5th Avenue in New York.

"Europe and the United States of America: two projects, one creative direction, a single brand," Abimis states, underscoring the dual commissions that highlight the versatility of its Atelier and Ego collections.

Brûlé, recently recognised in the prestigious 2025 AD100 ranking, is celebrated for a narrative approach that combines "a balanced mix of styles, inserts from different eras, discreet opulence, unique and emblematic pieces, and a strong predilection for Art Deco." This sensibility resonates deeply with Abimis' bespoke creations, which are made to order, custom-sized, and finished by hand.

In Paris, Abimis' Atelier collection defines a 100 m² studio in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The orbitally polished stainless steel wall configuration integrates tall and wall-unit storage with squared doors, open shelves, and a seamless double sink. The backsplash extends fully across the wall, ensuring "perfect aesthetic continuity." Brûlé's intervention, joining two rooms into one flowing space, sets the kitchen against black herringbone parquet and textured ivory walls, creating a restrained yet refined backdrop.

The Ego line, designed by Alberto Torsello, takes centre stage in Brûlé's Manhattan loft. A striking hand-polished kitchen unfolds across two walls and a central island. One wall, set into a backdrop of turquoise mottled marble, incorporates ovens, sinks, and compartments with rounded flush doors. The second block, clad in mirror-finish stainless steel, features induction hobs, a custom hood, and shelving.

Brûlé also designed distinctive fixed knob handles, applied across both blocks and the island, which houses a wine cellar. The joint-free worktop features "a raised non-drip edge, ideal for preparing and plating dishes," seamlessly linking the kitchen to the adjoining dining and living areas. These spaces, marked by antique and modern pieces, are enriched with velvets, silks, and satins in vibrant colours.

By realising both projects, Abimis demonstrates its mastery of stainless steel craftsmanship and its adaptability to global design visions, offering kitchens that are at once functional, architectural, and deeply personal.
