At the current Maison & Objet Paris (September 4–8, 2025), Hévéa House unveils a unique creative collaboration with French graphic designer and illustrator Aurélie Deve, whose monumental tropical mural will set the stage for the brand's stand in Hall 5A, Stand C116.

This collaboration is rooted in a shared creative journey that began at the very foundation of Hévéa House. Aurélie Deve accompanied the brand in shaping its visual identity: logo, graphic charter, and brand universe. "I met Joyce, furniture designer of Hévéa House, in a coworking space. We immediately felt a strong connection, both professional and personal, which made the creative process incredibly fluid and natural," Aurélie recalls.
The partnership took on a new dimension when Joyce discovered Aurélie's illustrations during a co-creation exhibition. A tropical fresco, printed on a folding screen, was used as a backdrop in a Hévéa House photo shoot, revealing the powerful dialogue between her illustrations and the brand's furniture pieces.
Building on this synergy, Aurélie was invited to create a six-meter mural for Hévéa House's Maison & Objet presentation. Reinterpreted to echo the brand's tropical inspirations, the mural incorporates lush botanical elements and a symbolic tiger: a nod to Malaysia, where Hévéa House has its roots.
A Signature Tropical Universe
Aurélie's tropical illustration is inspired by her lifelong passion for botanical drawing. Influenced by the poetic jungles of Henri Rousseau, she creates lush, immersive worlds where plants and animals coexist. "My work sits at the boundary between dream and reality," she explains. "I start from real observations of plants, their shapes and textures, and then transform them into imagined, poetic landscapes."
Her six-meter fresco at Maison & Objet aims to serve as both an artistic statement and an atmospheric backdrop for Hévéa House furniture. "I imagine it as a gateway into Hévéa House's universe: a vibrant setting that catches the eye from afar, sparks curiosity, and invites visitors to slow down, immerse themselves, and discover the brand's creations."

Design and Optimism in Uncertain Times
At a moment marked by global economic uncertainty, Aurélie believes design and illustration can play a vital role in uplifting people. "My illustrations don't pretend to change the world, but if they can beautify it a little, then that's already meaningful. They create softness, transform interiors into protective cocoons, and invite the imagination to wander. In that sense, they bring optimism and light."
Looking Ahead
For Aurélie, this collaboration is more than a highlight at Maison & Objet — it marks a turning point. She envisions extending her work further into the interior design field, creating patterns and illustrations for wallpapers, large-scale murals, textiles, tableware, and dedicated collections.
"This project with Hévéa House is not only a beautiful opportunity but also a stepping stone toward my ambition of bringing my poetic, singular signature to the world of interior decoration," she affirms.
