Founded in 2019 by Jaime Pont and Jorge Cienfuegos, Cubro allows customers to personalise standard furniture through a wide selection of designer fronts, offering a "100% digital, intuitive, inspiring experience" and a strong focus on accessible design.
The acquisition aims to strengthen Schmidt Group's international presence and accelerate its omnichannel strategy across Europe. The partnership combines Cubro's digital agility with Schmidt Group's industrial and logistical expertise, enabling operational synergies and the expansion of its flagship brands. Cubro generated over six million euros in turnover in 2024 and has cultivated a young, urban clientele, along with strong connections to designers and interior architects.
'We have found in Schmidt Group a solid, human partner aligned with our vision,' said Cubro CEO Jaime Pont. Schmidt Group President Anne Leitzgen described Cubro as offering a 'fresh take on interior design,' while CEO Laurent Blum highlighted the opportunity to leverage Cubro's omnichannel expertise to engage millennials and expand into new territories.
Cubro will retain its autonomy, team, and brand, while benefiting from Schmidt Group's European roots and operational strength.
