Founded in 2018, Duffy Skylining operates primarily along Scotland's west coast, running three expert harvesting crews and employing advanced skylining techniques to tackle some of the UK's most challenging forestry conditions. The company's past projects include work along the A82, a vital transport corridor in the Scottish Highlands.
Tilhill, part of the BSW Group, stated the move enhances its steep ground harvesting capabilities and aligns with its ongoing investment in its core fleet. It highlighted the value of Duffy Skylining's expertise in expanding its operational reach while maintaining a shared commitment to safety and professionalism.
Founder Calum Duffy will remain in his leadership role, continuing to manage and direct the specialist division. He described the acquisition as "a very positive move" that creates "an incredibly compelling service offer" for the industry.
