UK homeware sales continued to rise for an eighth consecutive week, according to the latest BDO High Street Sales Tracker. For the week ending 24 August 2025, total like-for-like (LFL) sales increased by 3.55%. Homeware LFLs grew by 3.03% compared with the same week in 2024, marking the category's eighth straight positive week.

Store-based homeware sales were particularly strong, up 6.75% from a base of 16.20%, while non-store sales fell for a second consecutive week, declining by 3.20%. Overall, total store LFL sales rose by 4.64%, and total non-store LFL sales climbed by 8.78% compared with last year.
BDO noted that "strong fashion sales, both in-store and non-store, boosted total LFL sales," supported by the Summer Bank Holiday weekend. Footfall grew slightly by 0.6%, with high street traffic up 2.8%, while retail parks and shopping centres saw declines of 1.8% and 1.4% respectively.
The data suggests continued resilience in the homeware sector, particularly in physical stores, despite mixed trends in non-store channels and wider retail footfall patterns.
