Unilin Technologies, the intellectual property division of Unilin, has officially obtained the US patent US 12,325,148 for its innovative Osiris recycling process. This newly granted patent enhances the international protection of the technology, following earlier recognition in Europe, and marks a significant milestone for the development of circular wood fiber solutions in North America.

"By obtaining this patent for the Osiris technology in the United States, we increase the impact in one of the world's most important panel markets," says Louis Van Roy, Business Development Director at Unilin Technologies. "This US patent underscores the global relevance of the technology to convert waste fiberboards and production waste into high-quality raw materials."
Osiris introduces a breakthrough in recycling waste from wood fiberboards, materials that traditionally end up in landfills or incinerators due to their complex composition. The process enables the recovery of pure wood fibers that can be reused in production lines alongside new material. This supports both sustainability goals and efficient use of resources.
"Osiris unites sustainability and profitability," Louis adds. "It not only supports greener manufacturing practices but also provides manufacturers with a distinct competitive advantage. By reducing dependency on fresh wood, the technology delivers both ecological responsibility and significant economic benefits, a combination that we believe has the power to transform the industry."
