The German kitchen furniture industry reported a decline in June sales, generating a total of €507.23 million, down 4.44% compared to the same month last year. According to figures from the Federal Statistical Office and the Association of the German Kitchen Furniture Industry (VdDK), both domestic and foreign markets experienced downturns.

Domestic sales fell by 5.35% to €261.79 million, while foreign revenues decreased by 3.46% to €245.43 million. The export ratio remained significant at 48.39%, underlining the sector's continued reliance on international markets.
For the first half of 2025, the industry recorded a modest overall decline of 2.04% compared with the previous year. Analysts suggest the slowdown reflects ongoing pressures from weak consumer demand and a challenging housing and construction market, both key drivers of kitchen furniture sales.
Despite the June setback, industry observers note that the sector has shown resilience in recent months, with May recording a year-on-year increase of nearly 5%. Companies remain cautiously optimistic that stabilising economic conditions and improved order volumes could support a recovery in the latter part of the year, though uncertainty in domestic and export markets continues to pose significant challenges.
