Domestic sales dropped by 12.22% to €44 million, while international revenues fell by 13.66% to €24.28 million. The export share stood at 35.56%, highlighting the sector's reliance on foreign markets despite weakening global demand.
This downturn follows earlier reports of declining performance across the broader German furniture sector in 2025, reflecting ongoing challenges such as subdued consumer spending, trade uncertainties, and rising production costs. Industry observers note that while some product segments have shown resilience, the upholstered furniture segment continues to experience sustained pressure in both domestic and international markets.
The latest figures underscore the volatility the industry has faced this year, with previous months also showing weaker revenues compared to 2024. Analysts warn that unless consumer sentiment improves and international trade conditions stabilise, further declines may be likely in the coming months.
