Furniture sales surge as retail market gains momentum in Poland

Furniture, electronics, and household appliances led the growth, recording a 15.3% increase compared with July 2024. Textiles, clothing, and footwear followed with a 14.7% rise, while motor vehicles and parts grew by 10.7%. From January to July, sales of furniture, electronics, and appliances climbed by 12.5% compared with the same period last year.

Despite the surge in physical retail, the share of online sales slightly declined, slipping from 8.8% to 8.6% year-on-year. Within the furniture and electronics category, online sales dropped marginally from 17.6% to 17.5%. However, the overall value of online retail sales at current prices still showed a modest 2.5% increase compared with 2024.

These figures highlight a steady recovery in consumer spending, with brick-and-mortar outlets benefiting most from the renewed demand, particularly in the home and lifestyle segments.
