After a four-year hiatus, the ArtSpace Interior Award returns in 2025 with a bold new direction: a stronger international team, a new product design category, and a renewed social mission. Submissions are now open, with the interior category deadline on 20 September and the product design category closing on 1 October. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on 20 October 2025 at the Ivan Franko National Theater in Kyiv.

Ukraine's ongoing challenges have shaped the competition's purpose. 'The feeling that design — and design competitions — do not matter right now is gone. ArtSpace'25 aims to document and reflect the transformation happening in the industry. And to show the world that, against all odds, life in Ukraine goes on. And so does design,' says Anzhelika Garusova, founder of the ArtSpace Interior Award.
The Ukrainian design community has adapted to turbulent times by focusing on human-centred, culturally grounded work. Designers are helping rebuild heritage sites, create housing for displaced families, and develop rehabilitation centres and memorial spaces. Many are gaining global recognition, opening projects in Paris, London, and Dubai, while those at home continue to create interiors and spaces as acts of resilience and hope.
A key highlight of the 2025 edition is the launch of Faina Live Design, a new curatorial category dedicated to product design. This nomination is curated by Victoria Yakusha, founder of the globally acclaimed Faina brand, known for exploring Ukraine's cultural DNA. Yakusha, named one of Dezeen's Top 50 Most Influential Women in Architecture and Design in 2024 and included in Robb Report's 2025 list of 11 Innovators, describes the category as a personal mission.
"I'm launching this nomination to support creators on their path to self-discovery. It's a deeply personal gesture," Yakusha explains. "I believe in design that pulses with freedom, rawness, and a sense of wild naivety."
With its renewed vision, ArtSpace 2025 positions Ukrainian design not just as a creative industry but as a cultural force, documenting resilience while inspiring the global design community.
