Ukraine showcases resilient design and craftsmanship at Oslo Design Fair 2025

Ukraine is positioning itself as a forward-looking and reliable partner in international design and trade by showcasing its craftsmanship and innovation at the Oslo Design Fair 2025. The Lviv Furniture Cluster, supported by the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC), will debut a National Pavilion, highlighting the resilience, sustainability, and creativity of Ukrainian design.

"Ukrainian design today is a dialogue between tradition and innovation. By combining sustainability with forward-thinking aesthetics, we are ready to bring fresh perspectives to international hospitality and interior projects," said Oksana Straz, Deputy Head of the Lviv Furniture Cluster and Coordinator of International Projects. "By modernising logistics and strengthening infrastructure, we demonstrate to international buyers that collaboration with Ukraine is both a reliable and forward-thinking choice, even in the face of ongoing challenges."

Amid geopolitical and economic pressures, Ukraine has modernised its export system through streamlined logistics, strengthened infrastructure, and supportive government policies. These measures ensure faster and more reliable delivery of high-quality products, boosting international confidence in Ukrainian manufacturers.

"Oslo Design Fair is an exceptional opportunity to showcase the collective strength of Ukrainian design to a European audience," said Anastasia Antonyk, NUCC Country Manager Ukraine. "It is not only about presenting products, but also about sharing the story of resilience, innovation, and sustainability that defines Ukrainian craftsmanship today."

The Lviv Furniture Cluster presents a diverse array of brands, each combining artistry with functionality and sustainability. Tivoli produces refined wooden chairs and tables; Wowin offers minimalist Scandinavian-inspired seating; Fix Union designs durable street furniture; Pikart Lights delivers artistic and technical lighting solutions; and Buryachkova Objects creates bespoke furniture from natural materials. Other highlights include Woodsoft's modular systems, LYS's sculptural furniture, Tyrson Ceramics' contemporary ceramics, and Kaplun's illuminated signage, all reflecting innovation and visual impact.

Ukraine's design sector benefits from competitive production costs, proximity to the European Union, sustainable materials, and customisable solutions, positioning it strongly in hospitality, residential, and public interior markets. By diversifying supply chains, investing in digital manufacturing, and forging international partnerships, Ukrainian manufacturers are turning challenges into opportunities.

"Our mission is to connect Ukraine's craftsmanship with the needs of global markets, delivering not only products, but also trust, creativity, and reliability," concluded Oksana Straz.

The National Pavilion at Oslo Design Fair 2025 underlines Ukraine's commitment to sustainable design, global collaboration, and long-term growth, reinforcing its presence in the European and international design landscape.
