Wirral-based (England) structural timber company SticX Limited has acquired three industrial units previously owned by Wirral Council as part of its expansion plans across the UK. The company, specialising in timber framing for residential developments, social housing, education, student accommodation, and self-build projects, provides a range of Modern Methods of Construction systems, including open panel frames, pre-insulated panels, metal-web joists, and roof trusses.

SticX Limited approached the council in late 2023 to acquire vacant warehouses adjacent to its existing Kelvinside facility in Seacombe. Since then, the council has worked with the company to support its growth objectives.
Currently employing 48 staff, SticX plans to increase its workforce to 76 by 2031, aiming to at least double production capacity. The expansion reflects the company's ambition to strengthen its presence in the UK timber framing market and enhance delivery across multiple sectors.
The acquisition of the council units marks a significant step in SticX's growth strategy, positioning the firm to meet rising demand and extend its operational capabilities while contributing to local employment.
