Company spokesperson Thomas Saliger highlighted the deep Austrian roots of the brand, noting that "decisions are made in Austria, and Austrians work in management, as well as in every possible area." The company now operates 47 stores in Austria and over 400 locations across 14 countries, employing more than 27,300 people.
Beyond retail, XXXLutz focuses on contributing to Austrian society by offering secure jobs and training 1,350 apprentices. It is also investing in sustainability, building Austria's largest photovoltaic system on its Zurndorf warehouse roof.
Saliger emphasised that Austrians are particularly passionate about their homes, favouring quality and longevity in furniture. "If we do it, we do it properly," he noted, pointing to the high demand for well-equipped kitchens that reflect the cultural importance of cooking at home.
The brand's enduring advertising campaign featuring the fictional Putz family remains a staple of Austrian television, reflecting the company's strong connection to its roots and its ongoing mission to make homes a central, valued space.
