A major fire broke out at a furniture company in Jankowy, Kępno County (Poland), on the morning of 25 August 2025. The blaze, reported at approximately 7:30 a.m., affected a 33m by 55m warehouse storing polyurethane foam, causing part of the roof to collapse.

More than 20 firefighting units, including the operational group of the Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, responded to the incident. Over 70 firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and protect neighbouring buildings from spreading flames.
One employee suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at a local hospital. The State Fire Service confirmed that the fire has been localised and is in the process of being fully extinguished.
The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed. Authorities and emergency services focused on containing the blaze and safeguarding personnel and surrounding properties.
The incident underscores the risks associated with flammable materials in furniture manufacturing and storage facilities, highlighting the importance of fire safety protocols in the industry.
