Three men arrested for $51K Home Depot theft spree

Three men from Philadelphia have been charged with multiple felonies following an organised retail theft operation targeting Home Depot stores across Montgomery, Philadelphia, Bucks and Delaware counties. The thefts, occurring between May 18 and August 11, 2025, involved over $50,000 in stolen goods.

Authorities identified the suspects as Balvin Greene, Terrell Jackson and Kristopher Heard. The group allegedly targeted high-value items including pressure washers, air conditioners, battery starter kits, chainsaws and Shark vacuum cleaners. Stolen goods were sold at reduced prices through "porch sales" and other channels.

Search and arrest warrants executed on August 14, 2025, resulted in the recovery of approximately $10,000 in stolen items, $2,000 in cash, and illegal drugs. Jackson and Greene were arraigned with bails set at $25,000 and $25,077, respectively, and their preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 28. Heard is being extradited from New Jersey and will face arraignment upon arrival in Montgomery County.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele stated, 'Organised retail theft is not a victimless crime. It drives up costs for consumers, threatens the safety of store employees, and drains resources from our communities.' The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Caitlin Shortridge, with ongoing collaboration between multiple retailers to curb organised retail crime.
