Danish furniture retailer JYSK is expanding its presence in Ireland with the opening of a new store in Sallynoggin, Dublin, on 1 October 2025. The store will take over the premises currently occupied by M Kelly Interiors, which will close at the end of August.

The move is part of JYSK's rapid expansion strategy, with five additional stores planned for this autumn in locations including Swords, Blanchardstown and Tallaght. The openings will double the retailer's footprint in Dublin over the next three months.
M Kelly Interiors, a long-standing independent furniture business, is transitioning to a fully online model. The company is currently holding a closing-down sale and preparing to relaunch digitally. "This isn't goodbye. Our new website is launching very soon, bringing you huge discounts and the best suppliers from Ireland and around the world," the company said.
JYSK's continued investment in the Irish market underscores its commitment to strengthening its position as a leading home retailer, while M Kelly Interiors' shift highlights the growing importance of online retail in the furniture sector.
