Ikea is set to open a pop-up store in central Nuremberg (Germany) from late summer 2025, occupying a 165-square-metre space in the former Kaufhof building. Integrated into a temporary fashion outlet by local retailer Wöhrl, the store reflects Ikea's vision of "making everyday life easier for many people" through innovative, customer-focused formats.

The pop-up will launch this autumn with a "cooking and dining" theme, offering a curated range of popular Ikea products designed for easy transport. Larger furniture pieces will be available for home delivery or via "Click and Collect" from the main store in Nuremberg/Fürth. Seasonal themes and rotating product selections are planned to keep the concept dynamic and engaging.
Nuremberg's Mayor Marcus König welcomed the initiative, saying the store adds "an attractive facet" to the revitalisation of the city centre and enhances its appeal.
Strategically located in a prime urban spot, the pop-up aims to bring the brand closer to residents while testing new ways of combining physical retail with online convenience. The move is part of Ikea's broader strategy to expand its presence in city centres and adapt to changing consumer habits.
