Nasr El-Din highlighted that advanced manufacturing techniques and artificial intelligence (AI) are driving a technological transformation in the industry. 'AI-powered tools are providing new opportunities for designers,' he said, enabling algorithms to analyse global trends, generate creative ideas, and offer tailored solutions to meet consumer preferences.
He urged the government to enhance support for the furniture sector, which employs millions of Egyptians and contributes significantly to the national economy. Nasr El-Din noted that boosting productivity, increasing value-added manufacturing, and improving design quality would strengthen Egypt's competitiveness in Europe.
With these measures, he stressed, Egypt has the potential to expand its presence in European markets, turning innovation and technology into a key driver of export growth and positioning the country as a reliable supplier of high-quality furniture abroad.
