Hannun strengthens growth with bold acquisition

Catalan handcrafted furniture company Hannun has acquired Qhans Design, an Osona-based manufacturer, for "one euro" as part of its strategy for inorganic growth. The deal, disclosed to the BME SME market regulator, includes an €80,000 participating loan to support Qhans Design's "working capital and production facility financing needs".

Hannun expects the acquisition to generate "significant operational, commercial, and logistical synergies" to boost efficiency and market reach. The company, known for its sustainable and artisanal approach, continues to expand its portfolio following previous international acquisitions, such as the Danish brand We Do Wood.

By investing in Qhans Design's operations, Hannun aims to ensure its future viability while enhancing its own production capabilities. This move highlights the firm's commitment to balancing sustainable growth with strategic partnerships, positioning itself as a key player in the European furniture sector.
